The AT91SAM9G25-CU is a high-performance embedded microprocessor unit (MPU) based on the ARM926EJ-S™ core. Operating at a frequency of 400 MHz, it offers a high data bandwidth architecture and a compact footprint, making it an optimized solution for industrial applications.
This MPU features a wide range of connectivity peripherals, including a camera interface that supports direct connection to ITU-R BT.601/656 8-bit mode compliant sensors and up to 12-bit grayscale sensors. Communication peripherals include a soft modem supporting the Conexant SmartDAA line driver, high-speed (HS) USB Host and Device ports with on-chip transceivers, full-speed (FS) USB Host, a 10/100 Ethernet MAC, two HS SDCard/SDIO/MMC interfaces, USARTs, SPIs, I2S, multiple TWIs, and a 10-bit ADC.
The AT91SAM9G25-CU incorporates a multi-layer bus matrix linked to 2 x 8 DMA channels, as well as DMAs dedicated to the communication and interface peripherals, ensuring uninterrupted data transfers with minimal processor overhead. The External Bus Interface includes controllers for 4-bank and 8-bank DDR2/LPDDR, SDRAM/LPSDRAM, static memories, as well as specific circuitry for MLC/SLC NAND Flash with integrated ECC up to 24 bits.
With its 64 kB of Flash memory, 32 kB of data RAM, and 16 kB of both L1 instruction and data cache, the AT91SAM9G25-CU provides ample storage and processing capabilities. It operates within a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C and is packaged in a 217-pin BGA footprint, making it suitable for space-constrained applications.
