In recent years, with the rapid development of 5G technology, artificial intelligence, new energy vehicles and other fields, the amount of electronic components has exploded. However, due to the impact of the 2020 epidemic, the global electronics industry has encountered severe challenges, and the automotive, industrial and some consumer market sectors have been hit hard, but due to the impact of segregation, the increase in home office, online learning and conference call activities has driven strong growth in related products such as servers, personal computers, tablets and so on.

Sensor components, the current automotive sensors to be used for vehicle perception, exist in the power, chassis, body, power electronic system, including infrared sensors, sunlight sensors, rain sensors, photoelectric sensors, pressure sensors, position sensors, temperature sensors, etc.; From the perspective of manufacturing process, MEMS sensors are most used in car bodies.

Sunlight sensor

Automatic adjustable: By measuring the intensity of the “heat radiation” of sunlight, so that the light intensity signal collected by the sunlight sensor is transmitted to the main control ECU (control unit) or air conditioning control ECU (according to the model), the ECU control unit comprehensively compares, calculates, judges, etc. the intensity and size of the sunlight and the temperature signal of the environment (indoor and outdoor), and accurately calculates a more reasonable indoor environmental temperature (increase or decrease). This controls the “wind speed” (size) or “wind direction” to automatically adjust the hot and cold comfort of the air conditioner.

Automatic headlights: The automatic activation of automotive headlights relies on sunlight sensors to achieve. Specifically, the sunlight sensor will output different currents because of the strength of the sun’s rays, the ECU microcomputer equipped with the car collects the output current of the photosensitive sensor at a certain frequency, the ECU compares the value stored in the internal, controls the opening of the headlights when the setting value is reached, and finally the car headlights are turned on, while the ECU continues to collect the data of the sensor in order to make a judgment of extinguishing or continuously lighting the lights.

Rain sensor

The automatic activation of automotive headlights is achieved by relying on sunlight sensors. Specifically:

1. The sunlight sensor will output different currents because of the strength of the sun’s rays.

2. The ECU microcomputer equipped with the car collects the output current of the photosensitive sensor at a certain frequency.

3. ECU compares the value stored in the internal and controls the headlights when the value is set.

4. The car headlights are turned on, and the ECU continues to collect the data of the sensor in order to make a judgment that the lights are off or continue to turn on.

Photoelectric sensors

The SMD package series helps reduce assembly man-hours and save space.

Power components, in the car mainly undertake the function of power switching and power conversion. It is divided into two categories: power devices and power ICs. Among them, power devices, including diodes, optocouplers, thyristors, IGBTs, MOSFETs. Power IC mainly integrates power devices with peripheral circuits such as driving, control, protection, interface, and monitoring.
